Foreign students ages 15 to 18 live with a U.S. host family and attend school for one academic semester or year. The program includes pre-departure orientation meetings, a three-day arrival orientation weekend, and personal assistance throughout the participant’s stay. Optional travel is available at an additional cost.
Foreign students ages 15 to 18 live with a U.S. host family and attend a U.S. private school for one academic semester or year. The program includes pre-departure orientation meetings, enrollment in U.S. private schools, and personal assistance throughout the participant’s stay. Optional travel is available at an additional cost. Optional services may include: advisory assistance with college applications, chaperoned college visits, identifying international scholarships/grants for university-bound students, vocational mentoring programs, and, job shadowing opportunities.
Foreign students ages 14 to 18 live with a host family or in a boarding school campus for an average of four weeks, in the summer or during the school year. The program may include beginning/intermediate English as a Second Language classes tailored to meet the needs of FLAG-sponsored students. A variety of extra curricular activities are also available. Counseling is provided throughout the participant’s stay.
U.S. students ages 15 to 18 spend four weeks abroad living with a host family. Orientations are provided prior to departure and after arrival in the host country. Counseling is available throughout the participant's stay. Intensive language courses may be available at an additional cost.
