Exchange Student Selection Criteria
Prospective FLAG exchange students are pre-selected by FLAG's International Partners, and ultimately approved by FLAG's Central Office in the U.S. according to the following criteria:
- General Education Test
- Personal Interview
- English Proficiency (as per regulatory guidelines, F.L.A.G. students are expected to have a minimum level of English proficiency which is not fluent, but allows them to function effectively in an English-speaking environment)
- Academic Performance
- General Health Conditions and Immunization Records
All high schools receive documentation pertaining to the credentials of the student(s) to be placed with host families from their district (i.e., General Student Application, Oral English Proficiency Sheet, Academic Records, Medical Records and Student Agreement to Program rules) as well as introductory information on the host family along with the request for approval of enrollment.
